I’m not exactly surprised, given the number of weddings I have conducted (over 300), that Humanist weddings now represent 15% of the total number of weddings in Northern Ireland, as of 15th September, 2025.

Dylan and Katerina - all the way from Canada, highschool sweethearts 💕 They said I do in the most romantic way in the stunning red room in beautiful Hillsborough Castle.
Surrounded by their closest family they exchanged the most heartfelt personal vows and tied the knot 🪢.

Thank you to Kim and the team at Hillsborough castle for the wonderful hospitality.

So great to see @tiffanygagephotography again 💕❤️ her photos are amazing.

Katerina wins the award for the longest bridal train this year - fabulous 😍

And finally they exited to the "Wedding g March " by Felix Mendelssohn played by Siobhan on piano, what an exit song - perfect for the surroundings.

Lusty Beg was a bit gusty with the tail end of storm Amy, but that didn`t dampen anyone`s spirits.

Cathal and Naomi said I do . 💞 They wrote the most beautiful vows for each other, tied the knot literally and skipped down the aisle happily married. What a lovely ceremony 🥰

Anna and Kevin 💕 a perfect day @ulstermuseum .

It was a real family affair Anna`s brother played the guitar. Kevin`s mum read "Scaffolding" by our own much loved Seamus Heaney. 💞

Both their mums laid ribbons over Anna and Kevin`s joined hands for the handfasting ceremony. Finally they toasted each other and their families and friends with a quaich cup filled with Lindisfarne mead. 😋 😍

And if that wasn`t enough Bailey the dog turned up to join the fun and get in the photos 🤣

On Wednesday I went to one of my favourite venues @hillmounthouse , such a beautiful place 💞 to conduct the intimate ceremony of Lee and Karolina. I felt so privileged to be part of it. The ceremony took place in the drawing room , surrounded by the most gorgeous flowers by @victorianafloralartistry .
Later they dined in the same room at the most gorgeous table setting.

Big weddings , little weddings , they are all different, they are all wonderful in their own way.
Lee and Karolina yours was perfect - your wedding your way. 💕 A life time of happiness to you both

On Friday I went for the first time to @ballynessresort . What a beautiful venue for Aidan and Sinead`s big day.

Just over a week ago Shannon married Shane and Shane married Shannon 💞
The fabulous new ceremony room at @the_wool_tower was perfect for this wonderful day.
Quinn 🐕🐾their gorgeous Golden Retriever bounded up the aisle, all by himself to sit by his two favourite people 😍💞.
It was a perfect day .

Last week Giles and Ileagh got married in front of their nearest and dearest at the lovely @killyhevlin.
They drank from the Quaich and everyone else had a wee dram ( sure it would be rude not too 😁) to toast the very happy couple.

Ash & Lauren got married in Lusty Beg on Saturday. 💞

This wedding was all about family. The four of them, in the fabulous first photo from @littlebigphotographyni, reflecting the mood of the entire day.
Little Ava draped four ribbons over mum and dad`s joined hands in a hand fastening ceremony, creating a tied knot representing each one of them.

Such a pleasure to be there and witness this beautiful family ceremony.
