Celebrating with You
Your wedding day is special. My role is to make sure that the story of you-two is told in a way that you want. We’re not bound by rules or scriptures…rather we want to make sure that everyone hears about your love, how you met, and how you plan to live your life together.
My role is to work with you to make your day beautiful, emotional and happy. And, since the recent change in the law in Northern Ireland, I can also legally marry you if you choose to use a local council-approved premises for the conduct of weddings. I can tell you more when we meet.
I also conduct naming ceremonies for those recently arrived little bundles of joy.
Your Story
Your wedding day is an opportunity to tell your story – but in a way that allows you to express your commitment to each other in front of those you most want to be there: your friends and family. As a Humanist it’s my role to help you celebrate your story in the way that you want. Typically this means creating a structure for the celebration that’s customised for every couple and reflects your personalities.
Celebration
As a Humanists UK Celebrant I’m now permitted to conduct legal wedding ceremonies in Northern Ireland. But the focus is and always has been on celebration: of two people looking forward to a life together. When we meet we can discuss just how we’ll make your day special, personal to you both, and one to remember.
Humanists UK
I’m a trained and accredited Humanists UK celebrant. You can find out more about Humanists UK ceremonies and celebrations here.
Next Steps…
Let’s meet and chat. I’m based in Lisburn (about 10 miles from Belfast). What I normally suggest is that the three of us get together for a chat over coffee to discuss what you want from your wedding celebration. We can also discuss the role that I’ll play, your time-line and venue, and costs.
